I worked a couple of other fisheries while in Alaska, each one was equally demanding in its own beautiful and sometimes horrible way. I felt like I was experiencing the epitome of adventure, I thought I was at the top of the world of commercial fishing.
But I knew I was not on THE Summit
I remembered what our climbing partner James Havranek had taught us: "Beyond the Mountain is another Mountain. The Mountain appears diminutive at first then larger and larger as you approach. False summits speed you on."
So I continued up the Mountain using the skills and resources that commercial fishing provided me.
